To foster mutual goodwill and understanding by providing
opportunities and facilities for members to share information on optical
wholesale through social, sporting and recreational activities. |

To take concerted action in matters affecting the
Association and/or members and to make representation to the Government
on the effect of legislation or regulations which may be introduced from
time to time. |

To arbitrate disputes and conflicts between members on
written request by the parties concerned. |

To avail the Association's services to any Government
body and to any charitable and or voluntary establishment which may be
deemed conducive to the optical needs of the public and to the interest
of members. |

To provide for the holding and delivery of seminars,
congress, exhibitions and conferences and with permission from the
authority for the publication of journals and educational literature
with an aim to upgrade professionalism of people involved in the
industry as well as to create public awareness of development in the
optical field. |

To promote and further the interest and the development
of the optical industry. |

To collect, compile and circulate to all members
statistics and relevant information. |

To promote cooperation and exchange of views with other
national optometrical and optical organizations. |

To accept from the Government, or purchase, take on lease
or acquire from private sources, any land or buildings which may be
requisite for the purpose of, or conveniently used in connection with
any of the objects of the Association and to lease, sell, charge give in
exchange or dispose of the same or any part thereof. |

To borrow money and to raise funds for the realization of
the objects stated herein with the prior approval of the relevant
authorities. |
